I’ll admit to this being a Straczynski fluff piece, but if anyone could take on a project like Terminator, it’s him.
I was shocked to find out that Straczynski was going to be writing a Terminator series. I have never been a Terminator fan. Sorry guys, it’s just not my thing. However, when I found out he was writing it, I had to check it out.
I don’t really understand the story, to be quite honest. Straczynski did a great job with it though; his writing has a tendency to take hold of the reader and never let go. It’s captivating.
Terminator Salvation: The Final Battle is basically going to take readers to the end of the machine war. Wondering what’s going to happen to John Connor? Well, you’ll find out by the end of this series.
As far as what’s going on in this issue: I’m lost. It’s a lot of information that’s not for new readers like myself, and I think this is a good thing to put in a review. If you aren’t familiar with the Terminator universe, don’t start here. You’ll get lost, and it won’t be too much fun. If you’re a long-time fan, then by all means – read away! Straczynski is a wonderful writer, and I can guarantee he will (and has already started to) do the story justice.
An escaped prison convict, three extremely buff people, and really smart robots make for a great story.
You can head to your local comic shop and find this first issue there, or you can head on over to Dark Horse and get yourself the digital copy here.
