I am the Green Eyed Trombonist, but sometimes I answer to Ailea. I discovered Sailor Moon at the age of eight and have been immersing myself in geek culture ever since. Soon after discovering Sailor Moon, I added Harry Potter and Pokémon to my fandoms. I’m an avid book reader, television watcher, card collector, and movie goer. I was also raised in musical theater, and am often found performing on the stage or writing/recording song parodies.

I graduated with a B.A. in Anthropology and a minor in Humanities in May of 2012. After graduating, I spent two years living and working in the San Diego area. While there, I discovered a passion for geeky art and began to draw my own creations. I also began to write on geeky topics more frequently.

Though I have written and conversed on geek culture for a number of years, I’ve only recently begun to share my ramblings online. This began with a co-written academic paper on The Wicked Witch of the West (which will be electrically published this year) and grew to include papers and videos about the Harry Potter ‘verse. Currently, I write original fictional content for an education-based MMORPG and run The Green Eyed Trombonist YouTube channel.
