Sarah The Rebel and Nerdy But Flirty

Sarah The Rebel

Founder of Nerdy But Flirty

I’m a gamer. I like anime. I’m a poet and sometimes a model. I used to be a muay thai boxer (ran outta money, but hope to pick that back up soon) and I’m a great dancer. I’ll wait until your head stops exploding.

I created Nerdy But Flirty as a birthday present for myself in January of 2011. Since then, I’ve been humbled by the growth and devotion of my readers, and I made steps to make the site a little more legit. To that end, I brought on a few more writers and an editor. In December 2014, I passed the EIC mantle to Kelsey.

I also decided to expand the coverage of the blog. Instead of just covering gaming, we also cover anime, manga, movies, cosplay, geek fashion, and anything else nerdy but flirty. My secondary hope is to one day craft this blog into a repository of knowledge on woman gamer sites and woman geek/nerd focused news.

My team and I hope you enjoy the site, and feel free to connect with me on Twitter if you like to be harassed with inside jokes, movie quotes, adorable cat pictures, and game news. Oh, and hop aboard for some Rebel Pinterest!

  1. Yo sarah, pretty cool stuff ya got here. very impressed and inspired with your story/website. Me and a friend met you at Int. TableTop day this year. We finally got up off our posteriors and are developing a youtube channel. You and a few other people at G&S graced us with an interview. Just finished the 1st ep video, hopefully we’ll get a rhythm and put out vids on a weekly basis. We’ll send you a link to video, as we’d appreciate you and G&S’s advice/blessing. Best continued luck on all your projects. Once you get back into muay thai boxing, let us know. Stay cool

  2. U rule girl! I ain’t a chick lol but I believe they are looked down on by the male gamer side. Don’t know how many times a girl has kicked my @$$ in a vid game. My gf Dratini has c4’d my @$$ way too many times then I can count in battlefield. Keep up the good work love your site!! This small town Arizonan boy will be checking in every once in a while. YEEEEEEHHAAAAWWW!!!!!

  3. New at the blogging realm here. Awesome that you’re sharing your viewpoints as a gamer, especially since there’s a gradual increase of female gamers out there.

  5. Hi Sarah,

My name is Catherine Meyers, I’m the admin of a web blog directory, while reading your blog and it’s reviews and articles about games and gaming (female gamer power!), I was wondering if you might be interested in a link exchange (no money involved), I would add your blog in my directory so my visitors will also visit your site and in exchange you add my website to your blogroll or links. Please let me know if you are interested and the best of luck with Sarah the Rebel.

    Cheers!

    Cathy
