Even if you only know a couple things about me, you likely know by now that I’m a big fan of classic gaming! So, you can imagine my pleasant surprise the other day when I stumbled upon a website dedicated to taking awesome classic NES games and recoding and redesigning them so that they’ll run on a TurboGrafx-16. The site and its projects, referred to as NES2PCE, has been operating for quite some time and has quite a few games under its belt:

• Castlevania
• Contra
• Ducktales 2
• Robo Warrior
• Super Mario Bros.
• Dragon Warrior
• Mega Man
• Mega Man 2

I’ve also dug around online and found a few other projects that aren’t listed on their website, so a good search online may turn up a few additional games. In most cases, the games are very faithful recreations, with the main difference being an enhanced color palette and different (better) sound card usage.
