I pick back up where we left off in Elemental Gimmick Gear, and we explore the water section of the Fogna Ruins. Here, the puzzles are reminiscent of some that you might see in The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, but it all turns out to be pretty fun. The “boss” of the ruins here is pretty easy, and we gain an ice attack ability by completing the area. This ice power unlocks a few new places we can go, and we’re able to get some new power-ups along the way.
I also spend some time completing a mini-game where you have to listen to a bunch of stories and get questions about them correct – boring, I know – but the end result is some power-ups that make the game a bit easier to get through, so it’s likely worth it. Things wrap up as we finally arrive at the Fog Tower, where hopefully we can rescue our female friend who was kidnapped by pirates from the lab.
You may notice that the video freezes for around 18 minutes a ways into this episode. That was due to an error in how OBS “hooks” into this Dreamcast program, and I did not realize it for quite some time. I apologize, but there’s not much I can do about it. If you skip past that, you won’t miss much anyway except a little exploration and that boring mini-game. 😛
