Two nerds, Dariush Gheyssarieh and Anthony Barajas, want to start a gaming tavern called Save Point Tavern in Sacramento, California, and they’re hoping their Kickstarter will help them do just that.

“The major focus of the tavern is to provide a place for gamers to come together for regular (or sporadic, if you insist) gaming where they don’t have to worry about things like food, drinks, supplies, and non-gaming interference. This tavern is going to be the kind of gaming locale where you can play with your established playgroup or randomly set up with like-minded strangers who after a game or two won’t be so strange any more (or maybe they will be, and you’ll like that).”

They plan on having custom gaming tables, lots of space to play board games, video game console areas, and even private rooms for rent for people that want to play pen and paper RPGs. The bar itself will have a rustic style, and will offer geeky themed food and drinks.

Here’s a peek at their pledge levels:

$10 – THE GREAT WALL OF NAMES: Have your name put into a tile on the bathroom walls for eternity! In addition, you’ll get a special Kickstarter backer forum badge for our message boards when they go up. Last, we’ll let everyone know on our social media sites that you helped Save Point become what it could be.

$20 – THE DRAFT & DRAFT: We’ll give you a ticket to one of our regular “Draft & Draft” events, where you’ll participate in a card game draft. In addition, you’ll get a special Kickstarter backer forum badge for our message boards when they go up. Last, we’ll let everyone know on our social media sites that you helped Save Point become what it could be.

$40 – THE REPRESENTER: Maybe you can’t realistically make it to Save Point based on location or other reasons, but you’d like to help out anyway. At this level, we’ll send you a Save Point t-shirt and two stickers so you can show your support. In addition, you’ll get a special Kickstarter backer forum badge for our message boards when they go up. Last, we’ll let everyone know on our social media sites that you helped Save Point become what it could be. Keep in mind that we add $5 to ship outside the United States!

$50 – THE CONNOISSEUR: If you pledge this amount, you can design and name a food or drink item for inhalation at Save Point. We will sell your item for at least 30 days to gauge interest in it, with a possibility of it hanging around longer. We’ll also send you a Save Point t-shirt and two stickers so you can show your support. In addition, you’ll get a special Kickstarter backer forum badge for our message boards when they go up. Last, we’ll let everyone know on our social media sites that you helped Save Point become what it could be. Keep in mind that we add $5 to ship outside the United States!
