I got my first taste of T.K. Baha’s Bloody Harvest at Pax Prime this year. I can proudly say that, without that sucky teammate, I wiped the floor with this boss – in a supremely fun way!
This new Halloween-themed DLC is short, with only one main mission and (possibly) two small side quests, but still a ton of fun for Borderlands lovers and totally worth the cheap pricetag (only $2.99).
Plot
“Don’t lose your head in the Halloween-themed T.K. Baha’s Bloody Harvest; where the candy isn’t chocolate and there are more tricks than treats. Help zombie T.K. Baha take down the terrifying Pumpkin King, and add a new set of heads and skins to your collection. This is the first in a series of Headhunter packs for Borderlands 2; check out the new story path, bosses, heads and skins!”
Gameplay
The bad guys are mostly skeletons, and the magical candy buffers operate just like the ones in Tiny Tina’s DLC, except with adorable rhymes on them. There’s some fun exploring to do, and the bad guys are tough enough to provide a challenge, at the very least because there are literally swarms of them!
Each time you defeat the Pumpkin King, he becomes stronger, leading to more loot and more challenge.
Final Verdict
Score: B+
If this was a $7.99 DLC, I would give it a lower grade, but since you’re literally paying three bucks for some extra Borderlands 2 fun and some of that good ol’ T.K. Baha laughter – you really can’t complain!
