We are big fans of Jane Jensen here on Nerdy but Flirty: we’ve interviewed her, done a preview of her upcoming game Moebius, and reviewed all four parts of Cognition, which Jane was a consultant on. Jane is most well-known for her Gabriel Knight series, and for the game’s upcoming 20th anniversary, Jane has licensed the IP from Activision and is releasing a remake of Sins of the Fathers, the first game in the series! The remake will be out for Windows, Mac, iPad, and Android in mid-2014. Phoenix Online Studios will be programming the game, and Jane is the lead designer.

“I’m thrilled to be back at work on Gabriel Knight and to bring this classic game to a new generation of players,” says Jane. “It’s a designer’s dream to be able to enhance the game and bring in more New Orleans flavor than technical limitations allowed us to in 1993. It’s going to look and feel like a brand new title. But never fear, 100% of the original Gabriel Knight: Sins of the Fathers is here. I hope both existing fans and new players will love it.”

You will get the same storyline as the original with updated graphics, music by the original composer, and all-new voice actors. If you want to play the original before the remake is released, you can get it on GOG for $5.99.
