This is it, the sixth and final part in my Retro Play series on LandStalker (1993) for the Sega Genesis! It was live-streamed on the evenings of July 14-15, 2013.

Before streaming this episode, I had no idea that we were that close to the end of the game. I knew we had a couple areas left and then King Nole’s palace, but I didn’t think we’d be able to blow through the rest quite as fast as we did. Aristeia did a great job helping with the walkthroughs, and one of our viewers, who used the handle “Legolas,” also helped out a lot via chat during the stream!

The final boss was supposed to be a long fight, but we managed to get it stuck in a pattern and unloaded on it from a safe spot, killing it very quickly. In my opinion, the Gaia Sword and its magical ability is simply way too powerful in this game. We barely had to touch our healing items at the end.
