Ming-Na Wen has been revealed as the second cast member of Joss Whedon’s upcoming series S.H.I.E.L.D. She’ll be playing Agent Melinda May, previously Agent Althea Rice in the casting breakdown, and was described as follows: “Also known as ‘The Calvary,’ this hard-core soldier has crazy skills when it comes to weapons and being a pilot. But her experiences have left her very quiet and a little damaged.” She has previously starred in The Joy Luck Club, Mulan, The Batman, Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within, ER, Stargate Universe, and Eureka, among other films and television shows.
