BioWare announced today that the Mass Effect trilogy would be repackaged and sold as a set for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC, starting November 6th.
At $59.99, it’s quite a bargain for anyone who missed out on this critically-acclaimed series. You might have noticed that we’re fans.
PlayStation 3 fans have special reason to be excited, since the original Mass Effect will finally be available for their console. Less exciting is the fact that the PS3 release date is unannounced. Presumably, there’s a timed exclusivity deal in place with Microsoft, but that’s just my speculation.
I’m also going to guess that the DLC for all three titles is included as part of the package, but this isn’t stated in the official announcement. Hopefully more details are forthcoming as the release date nears.

Just read an (unofficial) article that claims to know what DLC is included, and surprise surprise, it is only the DLC that you would get if you bought the games individually (brand new) today… which isn’t all that much.

Yeah, I saw another article refer to it as “a ton” of DLC. I thought that was pretty funny.
I seriously doubt that the Mass Effect 3 DLC will be included, considering that the 3 games would cost a total of $80 if bought separately right now. It probably won’t even include the DLC from the 2nd one, which is currently $31 total for the things that add content, not to mention the skins and whatnot.
I don’t really expect it to include the paid DLC for 3 either, since they haven’t even released all of it yet.
