LOS ANGELES, Calif. – Feb 29, 2012 – A new music sharing experience awaits as plug.dj today announced the official launch of its website http://plug.dj, a real-time music app combining music and video discovery in a fun and interactive online environment, complete with dancing avatars to match peoples’ personalities.

The plug.dj app makes it easier than ever to create listening parties with your friends and peers around the globe. Choose from a wide array of cute characters, join any number of virtual rooms where you can discover and share music and videos, and communicate with international party-goers using real-time chat translation.

Matt Willems, producer/DJ and head of the Los Angeles-based record label Perfect Driver Music, was immediately attracted by the ability to interact with the crowd.

“I love trying out my new tracks on a crowded plug.dj room! When I first tried plug.dj, I thought, wow, this is a great idea, why didn’t I think of it first?” Willems said.

plug.dj improves upon other music discovery apps already in existence by providing artists a way to reach a global audience, and rewarding people for listening as well as playing.

Steven Sacks, founder of plug.dj and veteran DJ himself, believes that, “music is an international language that crosses many barriers, and plug.dj follows suit.
