Donate to Japan by helping yourself to Game Informer

Game Informer announced on twitter that they’ve listed five limited-edition bundles of GI goodies on eBay, with 100 percent of the proceeds donated to the Red Cross!

The five auctions are part of a greater industry-wide project currently underway called Play for Japan, designed to raise money and awareness for the earthquake and Pacific tsunami relief fund.

Visit their site for the list of bundled packages.

I think this is a great idea! We gamers can be a lazy folk, but we still have our chances to help people! Please make a bid and know that if you win, it is a WIN-WIN situation!

Help Japan AND get stuff…sounds like a great deal!

If you don’t want the bundles, please consider making a donation anyway…we have the power to help people…let’s use it!

  1. Rebel,

Thanks for this. I just learned today that the electrician who lives across the street from me is out of work, not because there is no work, but because all of the materials he needs for his work have been shipped up north to the disaster areas. While he and I are not affected by the disaster proper, or even the resultant nuclear fallout (no pun intended), this event is national and global. All help and attention is helpful, I am sure.

    Thank you!

    • You’re welcome! I also donated to the Red Cross and am in talks to donate some money from one of my student orgs as well. People need to help each other. I would want you to do the same if it was my home that got roughed up by a tsunami and earthquake!
