Yes, I like corny puns. I am eagerly anticipating the arrival of Arrival, the newest (and probably last) DLC for Mass Effect 2. The new adventure comes out tomorrow, and is set to bridge the gap between ME2 and ME3.
A deep cover agent is missing in Batarian space, after reporting evidence of an imminent Reaper invasion. Shepard must travel to the edge of the galaxy, rescue the agent, and discover the truth behind the Arrival. Uncover new research and three new achievements in this spectacular new adventure for Mass Effect 2.
Here are the costs:
- Xbox 360: 560 MS Points
- PC: 560 BioWare Points
- PS3: $6.99 BioWare Point
I just watched a comprehensive preview that shed a little light on the game:
- Shepard will be solo on this mission, which will make it much more challenging than the usual missions.
- The mission will be available anytime after the Horizon mission (halfway through the game).
- Batarians are the ones who will be chewing on your bullets.
Also, here is a video of Jesse Houstan from Bioware playing the demo:
Casey Hudson, the series’ Executive Producer, said: “Arrival will show players just how close the Reapers are to returning and completing their deadly harvest.”
I am definitely buying this bad boy! All of the DLC I received for ME2 has been quite entertaining, so I see no reason to skip the “epilogue” of the game.
I’m nervous about having to play without my team, because I am straight-up soldier Shepard. Not having some of my magic (yeah, I call them mages, what you gonna do about it? LOL. I’m an immigrant from Fereldan) users will make me a little nervous.
I am also tired of spending all my money! This time last year there was only ONE game I wanted…now I have about six games and DLC I had to buy within a two month period! What is going on?! Ah well, I guess last year I was complaining about the lack of games I wanted to play…be careful what you wish for!
