NetherRealm Studios (led by Ed Boon) just announced that the PS3 demo for Mortal Kombat will be released next Tuesday for PlaysStation Plus members. All other PS3 folks can get it March 15th. Xbox 360 pals will get a later release date, apparently.

What do we know:

• Mileena, Johnny Cage, Scorpion, and Sub-Zero will be in the demo.
• Living Forest and The Pit will be the arenas.
• Arcade ladder will be featured.
• The game is going back to its mature presentation and brutal roots (whatever that means, lol).
• 2D fighting.

Mortal Kombat will be released on April 21st for PS3 and Xbox 360. It will feature a tag team mode that I am really excited about! Online arcade battle will be available, and they also claim the story mode will be deeper.

PS3 folks will be able to fight against Kratos, by the way…which seems completely logical to me. 😉
