A little while back, Caylie did an article about The Last Days of Kartika from Wi-Moto Nyoka, a combination of motion comics and hip hop music that you can view here. Wi-Moto recently reached out to let NBF know about an upcoming NYC event: Our Voices: A WinC NYC International Art Exhibition Opening Reception! It’s from 4pm-7pm this Saturday at the Medialia Gallery.

At the event, Wi-Moto herself will be doing a performing art exhibition – you can see a still from the piece above. The event is hosted by Women in Comics NYC Collective International. Here’s a description from the event page:

“In partnership with the Medialia Rack-Hamper Gallery and as a part of their annual Comic Book Exhibition Series ‘From Panel to Panel’, we are proud to present our first gallery show of the year, ‘Voices’. The exhibit begins on 2/20 and runs through 3/26.”
