Oceanhorn: Monster of Uncharted Seas first made its debut in November 2013 on iOS devices and immediately was compared to The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker. If you spend a second looking at screenshots or videos from the game, you’ll quickly realize that you can’t deny the resemblance, but is that all there is to the game?
For a long while, people have asked Cornfox & Brothers to consider bringing the game to Android, but on March 17, the game won’t be coming to your smartphone or tablet, but rather to your PC! Yes, the developers have been working hard on a fully-remastered version of the portable adventure, taking advantage of modern computer architecture to make a colorful, fun, high-resolution experience for gamers of all types. Indeed, the game will even properly display in 4K without any hitches.
I received an advanced copy of the Steam edition of the game, but don’t worry: I won’t be spoiling this one just yet. I haven’t finished the game, so don’t expect a review until after March 17, but suffice to say that so far I’m really enjoying this one. There are a few bugs that will need adjustment prior to launch, but even if those aren’t fixed, this game is going to be a lot of fun for fans of action/adventure games (especially Zelda ones) to play.
