Comic Review: Itty Bitty Hellboy #2

Itty Bitty Hellboy is a sweet compilation of itty bitty stories that, collectively, make one bigger story. There is also lots of itty bitty cuteness and itty bitty fun! How many times can I say “itty bitty” in this review?

AAAAAHHHH! Why are we screaming!? Well, because Itty Bitty Hellboy is awesome, and makes me want to be itty bitty and go on adventures with him! Art Baltazar and Franco have made Hellboy pretty damn adorable. Reading these stories kind of make me miss being a kid and going on adventures myself.

Let’s go camping with Hellboy and friends! In this issue, that’s exactly what you’ll do. Lobster Johnson and Lobster Smith (because that’s what he LIKES being called) are on a quest for Sasquatch! Whether Hellboy and the B.P.R.D will help or hurt this mission is left entirely to interpretation. I don’t think they know what they are looking for, but that makes things all the more fun, right? Also, I would love to go camping with Liz! You would never need to start your own fire, and you could have a fire at anytime for as long as you’d like. Who doesn’t want that?! Oh, and underpants. Yep, underpants.

I highly recommend these comics to any Hellboy fan, young or old. Even if you have never read a Hellboy comic before, this is a really cute and fun (and hilarious) way to get into the character. This is a great mini-series! Not to mention, the crayon-esque art is one of the best parts. You can find Itty Bitty Hellboy #2 at your local comic book (or equivalent) store on 9/25 or just buy it online here from Dark Horse.
