I attended Anime Expo (AX for short) for the first time this year. The only other large, anime-focused convention I’ve attended was Otakon, and I found the experiences very similar.
The most noticeable part of attending a large anime convention is the lines. If you don’t have patience, you may not get to enjoy any panels, signings, screenings, or swag. We ended up mostly wandering around, because no one in our group had the patience to stand in line for long periods of time. As a result, the most noteworthy thing I did was watch the live action Rurouni Kenshin movie – which was AMAZING! Do yourself a favor and go watch it.
