I’m a big fan of Criterion’s Burnout series and also enjoyed their 2010 reboot of Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit, so Need for Speed Most Wanted was already on my “most anticipated” list. But the new gameplay video takes my excitement to another level.
The video shows off the “find it, drive it” aspect of the game. Meaning that you no longer have to unlock vehicles to use, you just have to locate and hijack them. The new Hot Pursuit is shaping up to be a nice blend of the classic series with Burnout Paradise and a dash of Grand Theft Auto – and it looks glorious. No need to take my word for it though, check it out for yourself:
Developed by Criterion and being published by EA, Need for Speed Most Wanted is scheduled for release on October 30th for PC, Xbox 360, Playstation 3, and the Playstation Vita.
