Right now until Sunday the 29th at 4pm EST, you can play Borderlands for free through Steam.

If you like it (and you will, if you have a soul) you can buy the game with all four DLC packs (Zombie Island of Dr. Ned, Mad Moxxi’s Underdome Riot, The Secret Armory of General Knoxx, and Claptrap’s Robot Revolution) for only $7.49. Have some friends that you want to join you for co-op? Get four licenses for $22.49. That’s $7.47 less than buying them separately, people. Both discounts last until the 30th.
Prefer Amazon to Steam? Want to get 10% off your Borderlands 2 pre-order? Well, you’re in luck. Amazon is matching the $7.49 price tag, also through the 30th. There doesn’t seem to be an equivalent offer for a four pack of the original, but the pre-order discount does apply to a four-pack of Borderlands 2. So that’s nice.
No matter which option you choose, if you haven’t played Borderlands and have a PC that can run it, this is definitely a game you should check out. We kind of love Borderlands and, I mean, it’s free. You’re not going to get cheaper than that.
And if you missed the last Borderlands 2 trailer, check it out here. You’re welcome.
