So I’m a little late as usual, but I wanted to share my excitement about the release of more information on Borderlands 2, due out next September.
Fixing Cars and Complaints
According to an article in Game Informer, the developers listened to fan complaints, namely: driving around in a sucky vehicle sucked, and that the story was the weakest part of the gameplay. I was so happy to learn that I wasn’t the only one who hated all the driving around in General Knoxx, or the fact that the game ends without any kind of explanation of the multiple mysteries in the game.
Borderlands 2 promises to fix that lack of information by letting your new character interact with the old characters from the first game so you can gain more insight into their story. Personally, I think this sounds like a great way to tell their story, although I’ve heard one or two people scoff at the notion of Borderlands being able to have an actual storyline. I believe in them though, because they had the best side comments and funniest conversations from NPCs that I’ve ever seen. Do you hear that, Gearbox? I BELIEVE IN YOU.
And Guns
The other new development that has everyone excited is: exploding guns. Apparently, some guns will be so cheap that you just toss them away instead of reloading…and when you toss them, they go boom. 😀
I found it interesting that they mentioned that many people did not notice that the different brands of guns had different characteristics. I noticed right away. Jacobs quickly became my favorite because of the power it packed (for sniping anyway).
IMO
I’m super pumped and can’t wait to learn more about Lilith! ❤
