Just found out about Dragon’s Crown, a VanillaWare game due out for the PS3 and Vita in 2012.

It will be the first VanillaWare game to feature HD graphics, and will also feature four player co-op and online functionality.

Plot

According to the press release, “Dragon’s Crown thrusts you into a fantastical medieval world packed with labyrinthine dungeons to explore, vile monstrosities to smite, and nearly endless online adventure. Your mission is to dive into the dank underworld, uncovering treasure and strengthening your mettle as you unlock the secret behind the ancient dragon threatening the world.”

IMO

Sounds fun! I find myself put-off by the character designs of the female characters, but I will probably still give it a shot because it looks like my kind of game: a lush dungeon crawler.

I’m also excited to hear more about the compatability between the Vita and the PS3. Hopefully I’ll be able to work on my HP/MP on the Vita and then import that leveled-up character onto my PS3.
