IndieCade Winners and More!

I had a great time at the 2013 IndieCade Festival, and I have a few more reviews and previews coming down the pipeline! In the meantime, here’s a list of this year’s winners!

Some of my favorites made it to the winner’s circle, including NIDHOGG (which you may possibly see a video of my screaming at floating around the internet) and Killer Queen Arcade (which taught my industry friends that I am a wee bit aggressive). I was also overjoyed, as usual, to see so many women developers take home prizes, including Porpentine, Dajana Dimovska, and Anna Anthropy.

Winners

IndieCade awards recognize superior examples of story development, visual, technological, audio, and all-around independent game titles, as well as creators who have greatly contributed to the independent gaming field. This year, the jury chose from more than 850 games from six different continents. There were also two new award categories: The Media Choice award, given to the game the most media members selected as their favorite, and The Trailblazer Award, given to a relative newcomer who has shaken things up and used games in original and innovative ways.
