Broken Rules, the indie developer behind the award-winning game And Yet It Moves and the Wii U launch title Chasing Aurora, present their new game: Secrets of Rætikon, an aerial exploration game in three chapters. With Secrets of Rætikon, Broken Rules continues its tradition of creating games with rich physical interaction in an unusual setting.
Broken Rules has worked on Secrets of Rætikon since early 2011. The game design started with the idea of simulating the kind of flight that one experiences in dreams.
Plot
In this exploration game set in the alpine mountains, the player unlocks the secrets of the world around him/her one by one. Flying freely through a rugged landscape, he encounters wild animals and remnants of an ancient civilization. Whether the player engages in combat or solves the mysteries of the world peacefully is up to him.
We don’t know when it’s launching, but it looks very pretty, and I can’t wait to learn more about it!
