Remember way back when at the end of Metal Gear Solid 2 you got the High Frequency blade and chopped all those soldiers to bits? Remember how much fun that was?

Metal Gear Rising multiples that by 1,000,000!

Right off the bat, you’re dropped in Africa, and Metal Gear Ray is looking to square off for round two. Metal Gear Rising is all about extremely fast-paced action. You run, slash, deflect bullets, and hop all over buildings and bombs. It’s super anime-stylized, and a lot of fun.

Once you’re done slicing his ass, (because we all know Rex is the much tougher gear) you’re immediately treated to a Samurai showdown with one of the game’s main bosses, Sam.

Let me interject to say, “Yum.”

He then proceeds to cut out your eye and slice one of your arms, basically leaving you at his mercy.

I’m shocked and disappointed there was only one yaoi picture of these two when I googled this image.

Overall, the gameplay runs smoothly, the graphics are amazing, and I can’t wait to get farther into the story! My only small complaint is the camera sometimes has a hard time keeping up with you, leaving enemies in a blind spot and you unable to see their attacks.
