Sega announced on their blog today that NiGHTS into Dreams… is returning and in HD no less!



NiGHTS was released on the Sega Saturn on this day sixteen years ago, and has been a favorite of many gamers since, including my young, impressionable self. I used to beg my mother to take me to Toys”R”Us just so I could play NiGHTS. Eventually, the game was no longer one of the sample games, and I lost interest and forgot all about it.

While the classic gameplay will remain, there will be some new additions when it is released for PlayStation Network, Xbox LIVE Arcade, and Windows download this Fall:

• Improved HD graphics and a 16:9 aspect ratio
• Leaderboards
• Trophies/Achievements
• Optional “Saturn Mode” with the original graphics

I love all these HD releases of games, and all I can say is: keep em comin’! As with every single other game I want, this one comes out in the fall! If it is September, I shall just have to plan to be broke that month – totally worth it!
